What no one talks about enough is how many outfits underwear ruins on a day-to-day basis. Subtly. Not FIT INTO A RAID jacket subtle, but enough that you notice.
That line peeking out under your silk skirt. That high rise trouser waistband that just isn’t quite high enough. That thong you thought was being practical but is actually deeply not.
We have found ourselves in those scenarios plenty of times over the years and we are officially over pretending that it doesn’t bug us. We want underwear that works, that makes our outfit look how it’s supposed to look without us having to think about it. That means different cuts for different bodies.
Different cuts for different types of outfits. Different cuts for different vibes we are going for on any given day. We have organized this collection around the understanding that your underwear needs will vary and that one silhouette does not fit all situations.
Some days you need that seamless brief that won’t show under your favorite jersey. Some days you need a high waist that will smooth and stay put like shapewear without actually being shapewear. Some days you want something cheeky but still want it to…you know.
Stay put. And some days all you need is a comfortable everyday cotton option that you can basically forget you’re wearing because isn’t that the whole point? When it comes to underwear, we have been extremely selective with fit, but we have also been just as particular about everything else that matters.
Like materials. We look for fabrics that can stand up to being washed frequently and that retain their shape over time. We look for waistbands that stay flat and don’t dig into your skin.
We look for lace that doesn’t just look pretty but also doesn’t make you want to rip your underwear off by lunchtime. Those aren’t things you can always tell just by looking at a product photo, which is why we do the work up front of trying things on for you so you never have to. There is already underwear aplenty out there.
Finding pieces that look good and feel good should not be this difficult. We have also put serious thought into colour selection here. Nudes should actually match your skin tone if they’re going to be worn under white clothes.
We have scoured collections for a range of shades that can actually work, rather than picking one beige colour and branding it “universal”.
